Clairvoyance, a paranormal ability to see things that are distant in space, or even time. With such power of clear-sightedness, the clairvoyant may see through walls, see the things in the past and future. Different ancient cultures have myths about clairvoyance, in humanity we urge for such ability. Nowadays through scientific means, human have achieved part of it.

Video calls, cctv camera, aerial photography etc. Kinds of visual related technologies were established. It changes how we perceive the world and ourselves, how we interact with others. It changes our way to imagine. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) brought rovers up to Mars in the Mars exploration missions, which obtained images of the geographical situation of Mars. These images would not be seen if mere with our human eyes.

This work consist with images of Mars landscape and my own body parts, which were places inside a specific space, that viewers can only see the photos through a toy car with digital cam, we shuttle between the images of Mars and human body, seems so real yet confused. How we understand the world and ourselves through our eyes?

The work was showed in the exhibition Sound of Image, curated by Solomonn Yu, which tried to explore the links between audio description and visual arts.  It was held in two parts in Cattle Depot Artist Village during December 2013. 有一種特異功能，名叫天眼通。天眼通讓人看見超乎凡人所能見到的東西，不受距離和時間所限，可以看穿牆壁，更可以親目過去甚至未來。不同文化的神話故事中也有記述近似天眼通的能力，從遠古起，人類對於能觀看到穿越時空的事物就十分醉心。現今的科技，讓人類大致上淺嘗到擁有天眼通是怎麼一回事。

視像對話、天眼系統、航拍科技等等，這些科技都影響人類如何觀看。觀看甚麼、如何觀看、如何解讀所看到的，一直影響到世界觀和對自身的理解，以及互動的形式。也改變了我們如何想像。

美國太空總署把不同的機器車放到火星進行探索，拍下很多火星的地域相片。這些影像，從來不是我們憑自己的肉眼可以看見。

這作品透過關閉於特定空間的玩具車，配合視像鏡頭，讓觀者必需以視像形式探索一個遍佈火星及人類身體的相片的空間。觀者於視像中分辨又像火星，又像是人體的相片。我們到底是如何透過觀看去認識世界呢？

此作品於余廸文先生策展的《聽、見、想、像》展覽展出。展覽是一個關於探索口述影像與視覺藝術之間的關係的展覽，共分為兩部分。第一部分只展出每個作品的口述影像錄音。所有作品的口述影像錄音都於此網頁供聆聽：cuhkmafaa.wixsite.com/soundofimage
