We skipped many things, everyday. Intentionally or most of the cases, unintentionally.

Not matter of their values, effects, solidity, ownership or whatever properties, we just skipped them and didn’t recognize and react.

Why we would skip things like that? How? To what extent?

The shock from the realization of skipping important things…

The calm from the ignorance of knowing what we have skipped…

The over-reaction to what we think we have skipped… 

Skipping is an artwork for the exhibition “Hey! Big South!”, which investigate the relationship between art and community, with the co-operation of several units in Tai Nan Street (Sham Shui Po), included Arts space, Durian Shop, Café, youth hostel etc. With the help of these units in Tai Nan Street, subtle interventions of the environment were made in the street, with parallel reading of the hand-made book skipping stories, people are subtly being invited to take a journey in the street.

我們總會略過很多事情，甚至是明明很重要，跟自己有關連的事情。一不留神，或刻意用神，我們都讓其略過。 

美好或悲哀的事、具重量或細碎的事、對或錯的事、存疑或堅實、虛幻或具體、我或他者。

為何略過？如何略過？於那程度略過？

醒起已經略過時那種或平淡、或愕然；或從來沒有發現已經略過，或者誤以為略過了。

略過為其中一個於展覽《藝術在大南》的作品。展覽探討如何延讀藝術與社區的關係，定點於深水埗大南街。透過大南街不同單位的協助（當中包括藝術空間、榴槤店、咖啡廳和青年旅舍等等），我於街中的不同地方作出了微小，或者關於略過的介入。讓人一刻為意，卻不留神。透過把這些介入，跟手造書《略過小書》並置閱讀，觀眾可以在大南街開展一個有關略過的散步。
